F. Ron Newbury has extensive experience in real estate matters, and has successfully represented homeowners, realtors and commercial real estate enterprises in a broad expanse of matters including complex litigation, real estate transactions, and in winding up and dissolution of commercial real estate entities. Ron will work with highly qualified co-counsel whenever circumstances warrant this approach. Through sophisticated synthesis of case precedent and statutory legal authorities, Ron has defended a homeowner against attempts by a homeowners association to impose covenants and other obligations, resulting in a sweeping post-trial verdict, including an award of all attorneys fees and costs, and removal of the offending covenants. Ron has also defended ranch owners and ranch hands against highly questionable criminal allegations arising from a private water rights dispute, prosecuted by the State of Montana, resulting in a jury verdict of "not guilty," and in a pre-trial dismissal of the case following Ron's motion and briefing.
